I may have told you this, 'cause I tend to repeat myself these days... I worked with Abbe Lane when she was with Xavier Cugat at the Last Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas in 1953. I was 16 years old, in the chorus, and the thing I always remembered about Abbe, was that she didn't wear a bra, when everyone wore a bra. Her torpedo breasts would sway from left to right constantly, under her angora sweater. I was basically flat chested, so I was tremendously jealous of her smiling happy sexy self. But she was very sweet and friendly, another fact that stayed in my head. I think I wrote something about her on my blog.
