  2. Estee remembered her Girl Guide training and was always prepared when at a social function, ready to touch up any lipstick faux pas.

Olivia tragically, could not come to grips with the fact that she had a cage

  3. I've passed this photo of OdH to three friends who currently know her, they'll get a kick out of her generosity!

  4. My fondest memory of Miss Lauder was from the Met Costume Ball back in 198 … something.

I was one of the faceless waiters pouring coffee and bussing dirty plates from her meal. Miss Lauder (who may well have died and been embalmed years before her appearance that evening) was left alone at the over-sized table with only Pat Buckley to keep her company from across its wide diameter.

Three sheets to the wind (as always, dear lady that she was), Pat held up a petit four done up to look like a Tiffany gift box and bellowed across the table, "Hey, Estée! Eat this!"

Estée was clearly moved by the gesture: I swear I saw her eyes widen a bit before I had to leave the room to cover my coughing fit.
