It's A Doris Day!!!

DORIS DAY
April 24, 1924

It's a good Day for bugle beads, sequins, and wacky wiglets.

  1. All those looks were divine, and Doris pulled each off magnificently. I'd put this in the pantheon of great fashion montages: The Women, Valley of the Dolls, and Mahogany.

Poor Rose Marie. Until Mrs. Roper, there was never a hornier, more unfulfilled woman on TV.

    1. I love the conceit that one person could possibly model every piece of clothing in a fashion show, with a complete change of wigs and makeup each time, too!

    1. My Doris top 3: Pillow Talk, The Thrill of it All (with another of my heroines, Arlene Francis), and Lullaby of Broadway, co-starring the magnificently deteriorated Gladys George as Doris' hard-up ma.

Oh, and did she have a great ass or what? Just saying.

    1. One of her co-stars once said (and who escapes me now) that Doris Day had the hottest ass in Hollywood.

  4. Great pics and clip!

As a kid, I met Miss Day several times. I remember sitting on her living room floor in Beverly Hills, playing with her dogs, and later going to dinner with her at the Hamburger Hamlet on Sunset.

And even as a gay 13 year old, I remember noticing that she had a smokin' bod!

And welcome back TJB!!! Just looked in today for the first time in weeks, expecting to see the same old shot of Donna Summer, and found all these new posts! NYC just got a little "fabulous-er!' You have been missed!!!

    1. What fun! I'd love to hear the story behind that someday. And thank you -- it's nice to be back.
